The Journey of Dooty After Business is Completed

The Dooty Journey

No One Really Thinks About At

To be honest, it's never really thought about what happens after a portable toilet is serviced and cleaned out by 2 Pees In A Pot. The journey is only beginning when our service truck leaves your job site, event or residence. There is a carefully managed process that helps keep our communities clean, sanitary, and environmentally responsible.

It Begins With a Maintenance Service

Every portable toilet rental has a scheduled servicing date or a removal date. This designated date is when the journey begins with the removal of the accumulated waste from the holding tank using specialized equipment designed for sanitary waste collection and transportation. In Texas, liquid waste such as domestic septage or portable toilet waste, must be properly managed and taken to an authorized disposal or treatment facility. A very important part of a sanitation business is to always properly handle, transport and document disposals. A 2 Pees In A Pot, we're not just delivering a potty; we're responsible for the entire sanitation cycle.

Arrival at the Treatment of Disposal Facility

Upon arrival at the authorized facility, depending on the type of waste and type of facility, septage may be treated at a wastewater treatment plant or managed through another authorized treatment or disposal process rather than being dumped anywhere.

At a wastewater treatment facility, the waste goes through a series of treatment processes designed to remove solids, organic matter and other contaminants. The process varies by facility but generally involves physical, biological and sometimes chemical treatment. The goal is to separate and treat the different components of the waste so that the water and solids can be managed properly.

Once separated, the solids become part of a material that must also be properly managed  and further processed, disposed of or beneficially used. There are regulations that govern what happens to these materials and where they can go. The water also goes through a significant process to remove contaminants. Depending on the requirements of the facility and permits, will determine how the treated water is used.

Proper Disposal Matters

Proper disposal is more than just following proper protocols and procedures. It's about protecting people, our water and environment. Providing portable toilets isn't simply delivering the best service and cleanest potties, it's also making sure that we don't create a sanitation problem somewhere else. We're moving waste through a responsible sanitation process from collection to authorized treatment and disposal.

At 2 Pees In A Pot, we believe that doing the dirty work the right way is part of providing quality sanitation service. It's not the most glamorous business but somebody has to handle the dirty work, and we make sure your #2 is our #1 priority!
